I’ve run into a number of customers who think of cloud only from the “Public Cloud” perspective. When they think cloud, they think infrastructure somewhere else. They don’t consider that clouds should begin at home; and burst into the Public Cloud space.
These customers tend to be outside the main IT group but it highlights how important it is for IT to lead the discussion around Cloud with their business. Or forever let the business get into the infrastructure service without them.
